So much for the revolution

When current technology fails us, we resort to our old stand-by's... they're solid, dependable, reliable.
I feel like we are reaching a threshold of some sort, the point at which this will no longer be true.

The fancy, records-onto-DVD-camcorder has failed to provide for us and the new plan is to take the old one, the one that records onto 8mm tapes. Will our kids resort to our iPhones and LCD TV's when their holograms fail them? I don't think so... I think we've surpassed the age of standards in which things were made to last. Now things are made to be improved on, not made to be the best.

Which is worse: thinking you have done the best job you could do, or never thinking something is adequate?
